The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested Dequa Davis (31) of Bishopville, SC for a shooting incident that occurred at 1101 Sumter Hwy (Mcdonalds). The victim was at the location as a customer. The suspect entered the location and approached the victim asking for him by name. The suspect then produced a handgun and the suspect and victim struggled over the gun. During the struggle the victim sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment by EMS in stable condition. The suspect turned himself into the Lee County Sheriff's Office shortly after the incident. The suspect is being charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon During A Violent Crime, and Felon Possession of a Firearm and is being held at the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
